i was super hungry so i went to longhorns for dinner. i got a burger, fries, a 6 oz filet, and mac and cheese. i finished both entree’s and still had space for dessert. on the way home, dandi-lyons had a long line, so i went to walmart to pick up a few things. i came home and made an imitation smoothie king recipe and it was delicious.
now i’m big chillin with bagel, dreading going back to work tomorrow.

we were out to lunch in new hampshire when we got to talking about property. dad showed me a few around the area, and even those were 500k. i was thinking of getting one to rent out, preferably a multi-family property. three-family joints in lawerence/lowell are like 700k-950k. i could afford one of those, but the thing would be purchasing the actual house. from what i hear most buyers are paying cash and are waiving inspections. i refuse to waive inspections and i for sure cannot purchase one of those properties in cash. i have to do my research, but next year should be the year i own my first property.
i will make this money somehow, and it won’t be dealing with the commute and politics of a 9-5.
i just refuse man.

my dad wants to build a deck before the cold begins, which means he has 6 weeks max. because of this, we had to expedite the ordering and begin the process immediately. today we went to a home depot in new hampshire to rent out an auger. to be honest, the auger didn’t really help us dig holes as it was intended. since this is the northeast, there are just too many rocks in the ground, heavy ones, too. digging holes seems like it’s easy, but that shit is crazy tiring. our goal was 4 feet deep by 1 feet wide holes, and it took almost 2 hours to get just one.
crazy to think those kids in holes were digging 5 feet deep by 5 feet wide holes.
looks like we got our work cut out for us moving forward.

i actually enjoy late lunches. i ate around 1:30pm today, which is typical. i’m the type of person who has to get something done before i leave a spot. for example, when i’m writing a verse, i have to finish it before i close my laptop. it can take an hour, it can take 4 hours, whatever the case, i must finish it. same thing when i’m in the lab, i gotta see it through to the end before i leave. i also don’t like leaving just to come back, so bringing things to a completion is also for peace of mind. i got here around 7:30am this morning, so i think i’ll just leave after i write this.
it’d be terrible to have to go back in there now, but good thing i won’t be.

there are days where i question the direction of my life. i’ve always been indecisive and in the long run, it’s been more damaging than it has been comforting. i have these talks and these interactions that let me know clearly what i should do, but i also have a bad habit of holding on to things i should be letting go of, things i should’ve let go of a long time ago. i wrote last year how i was my own villain in this life, and unfortunately it feels like things haven’t changed some days.
just because it’s a bad day, doesn’t mean it’s a bad life.
i forgot where i heard that, but i need to remind myself more often than i have been lately.

i learned of palindromes through a laminated poster i saw some time in elementary school. the concept of palindromes have stuck with me and some have even amazed me. the first time i was shown racecar threw my mind for a loop lol. anyways, i’ve been trying to catch my odometer in a palindrome for the past few months, but i could never get it. today while on the way home from the park with btg, i finally got it. it only comes once every 1000 miles, so it’s definitely something that sneaks up and by the time i notice, the palindrome has already passed.
i don’t know why i care so much about a palindrome, but it’s a unique concept of coincidence and timing that’s neat to come across in this life.

i left work to get lunch at mandarin. i’ve been craving sushi and they have a good snow king crab roll. i ordered that, plus the mongolian beef. that combo is undefeated. it was so damn delicious. during the meal i was babysitting one of the options trades i had going on. my service kept going in and out, so i couldn’t keep up as much as i would’ve liked to. something is up with verizon these days, the service is definitely going downhill. anyways i was up 133% at one point, which i should have sold, but i waited until i got home to sell for 78% profit. it’s not bad by any means, but i have a hard time not feeling fomo especially with the number i saw an hour earlier.
can’t have everything, but a win is a win.

i was walking on newbury street earlier today. it was a nice afternoon in the city, and i wanted to explore. the shops, the food, everything was a vibe. i was listening to music, but then i ended up on the phone with e. i was filling him in on everything that happened in the past week, going back and forth between kobe and lebron, you know, the usual things we talk about. when i got out of johnny cupcakes, i hear a guy calling for someone. i don’t pay no mind, but he gets louder so i look back. he asked if he could buy my hat off my head. i told him i would but it was a gift. he said that hat was cool and that he was going to offer $30 or so. i declined because i love the hat, but it was cool of him to stop me and ask. why you might ask? because it shows you gotta go for things in life. he probably saw me with the hat and made a split decision to see what was up. i respect the hell out of that. it’s occurances like these that make me think these signs are coming straight from the universe.
and trust, i hear the message loud and clear.

after going to the planet fitness in reading (which is much more spacious and has new equipment) i got a smoothie at some health store two doors down from maya, the indian joint jaanntrear and i went to when she was here. i picked up cfa, then came back home. i was on ft with dbaze and money, and we were planning a trip to the dr for early next year. my passport expired, but i’ll get a haircut tonight so i can take a new photo this week. i definitely want to travel more and traveling out the country sounds like a dream right now.

dinner was at veggie galaxy tonight. i got the meatball sub with fries with vegan cheese. that shit was incredible. it was lowkey better than the subway meatball sub. i was so surprised. before going there, i looked it up and it was on diners, drive-ins, and dives so i knew it was going to be fire, but it definitely exceeded my expectations given the hype going in.
might have to go back and try a burger to see what it’s hittin for.
