table 74, 10.25.17

my table 74 today was a group of 3 elderly patrons. 2 were married and seemed to be anywhere from 75-85, the other gentleman was 60-70. they ordered a bottle of kris pino grigio. as i did the wine presentation and poured their wines, i was putting the bottle of wine towards the wall of the table. when i was doing that, they toasted and the gentleman said “here’s to being friends forever.” that made my heart smile man. that was too cute. more life and more blessings to all of them.

it poured pretty hard today. zack came into work soaked from walking from the parking deck. i was sad i wasn’t at home laying in bed with bagel relaxing to the sound of rain hitting the roof. i can’t explain it, but i love the rain. i hate lightning, but love storms. it’s something relaxing about the expression of clouds in a turmoil. some people like it, some people don’t. i love it.
