i woke up to a text from erica. she asked how i’ve been. erica, like many others, is someone i’m thankful i have in my life. she always has me no matter the circumstance and she is pure genuine. come to think of it, i’m pretty sure i’m more hype than she is that she found someone lol. i fill her in and tell her i might be going back to school this fall, and she encourages me to get my degree but without discouraging me to stop my pursuit of my writing/music dreams. in fact, she tells me not to give up. i’m too thankful for that because at times it feels as if it’s one or the other.
i can’t give up for the sake of the great people who encourage and believe in me, and for the sake of myself.
