the mail came today and i got a package from the moma store. my first kaws pieces arrived! man, you don’t know how hyped i am. i’ve been wanting a piece since 2010, but was never able to afford one or was never offered an opportunity. i was doing some research and came across the moma having them. they were open editions, which meant they are readily available to the public in mass numbers. then i went to kaws ig page and read his comments and people were disappointed they were open edition. not me!!! i enjoy his work, and so i simply enjoy having it! numbers don’t matter, it’s the joy.
crazy how i passed on the mono resting place years ago when wish had it on sale for $295. i’m still kicking myself for that.
