tipping policy, 11.9.17

i saw on the 11 o'clock news tonight a new jersey diner is charging kids who come without their parents an 18% gratuity because they come in packs of 20-30 and stay without tipping. having experience in the restaurant industry, i’m with it. people do not realize how demanding a job being a server is, and those who say ‘get a better job’ shouldn’t eat at a place that offers service.

if you plan to go out to a place which offers a service, plan to tip at least 15%, if not 20%+.

just my opinion on my blog.

human ears, 4.19.17

i know i haven’t been updating this for the past few days or so, but know i’ve been writing. i never stop, it’s just some things too personal to share sometimes. i’m human, and being human includes the need for privacy, or selective privacy in my case, because i either end up revealing too much to the wrong people or i keep too much to myself. some nights it seems like i’m looking for someone to tell everything to, but on the other hand, on other nights it seems like i’m looking for myself to accept the things i think are worth telling.

seems like nobody’s willing to listen, myself included.
