at work while i was tasting the new features we had, a new york strip with sauce and scallops, a girl who only works monday comes in and my manager says congrats. she just got engaged. i didn’t even know she had a boyfriend. later in the night, my manager says he’s going to the dominican republic on thursday for a wedding, and that on monday he’s proposing to his girlfriend. another one of my coworkers chimes in and says she wants her boyfriend–another one of my coworkers– to propose to her as it’s been 5 years, but she wants the ring to be at least 5k, one for each year they’ve been together.
then i get home and facetime with my boy i haven’t seen in ages only to hear him thinking about proposing. what’s up with all this wedding and engagement talk?! i guess i’m growing up…
sheesh.
