i dropped my mom off at the amtrak station today as she was going to make her way back to raleigh to hang with my brother for two nights before she heads back to boston to return to her life up there surrounded by my dad and some of her extended family. she told me to focus and to save more money amongst a few other things. what i love about my mom, well one of the many things, is that she’s never quit raising me. some parents aren’t active in their children’s lives, and some let every responsibility go when their children turn 18, but not my parents. my mom is always looking to give me tips and guidance whenever she can. there’s no reason why i can’t accomplish anything i want to. i have everything i need and more. sometimes i question why me?
i’m hoping i can use her guidance to lead me somewhere, where she’ll be proud of me.
