i was at table 41 eating lunch with a few coworkers when my general manager comes up and asks if i remember what i applied for when i applied. i told him i did, and he said ‘remember you wanted to be a host?’ that was back in march. i initially applied to be a host because i was nervous to be anything else. long story short, i was hired as a guest assistant and now i’m a server. when i told him i was surprised he remembered, he told me i was talented and i could’ve gotten a job anywhere.
i couldn’t tell you how nice it feels to have a management team who believes in you, regardless if they believe in what they say or not.
