went to a store today where there was a 50 cent g unit advertisement. shit felt like 2003 again. i like seeing things from that era out and about. it reminds me of a simpler time. i wouldn’t go back to re-live things, but i’d like to time travel at my current age just to really immerse myself in life back then.

there was a korean corn dog place i ate lunch at earlier this afternoon. i’ve seen them on ig, but i’ve never had one. i got a regular corn dog, and one with french fries in the batter. when the guy called me up for my order, he asked what condiment combination i’d like on it. with it being my first time, he showed me a laminated paper with all the combinations. i told him mustard and ketchup, but he began putting cheese mustard and sweet and sour. i rocked with it and went with mustard and ketchup on the regular corn dog. turns out, his mistake was the best combination. the mustard and ketchup corn dog was ass, smh. i still ate it though because that’s what you do when you pay for food lol. it was good for the experience, but if were to do korean, i’d go the bbq route.
as good as the french fry corn dog was, galbi is undefeated.

tonight, we went to parkville market. it’s a bustling (kind of) hipster market with two floors of food, drinks, and socialization. they have all types of food there. there was lao food, american food, brazilian food, jamaican food, and of course american food. i went to the lao place and ordered honey butter chicken from a place called chan’s. it was pretty good, just the rice was a bit soggy. they also had rice cakes, that were oval-shaped and chewy. looking back, it wasn’t that packed for a friday night, but it still had enough people to make it feel like the start of the weekend. i wouldn’t mind if we had something like this in boston. actually we do, it’s called fanueil hall, but something about being at parkville market was different.
maybe it was the company, who knows.

the coworkers had plans to go to sura after work today, but i had errands to run. i had to stop by target and petco. i got all my work done early, then left around 2pm. still, there was crazy traffic around the city. i honestly think there is no time where traffic isn’t bad in boston. it’s actually quite insane. i go to target, get what i need. i go to petco, pick up a pack of bagel’s food. on the way back to work, i figured why not hit madewell. they have 40% off for their pre-black friday sale. i didn’t have much in mind but to browse, but i ended up walking out with a new jacket and a new flannel.
i shouldn’t have, but it’s hard to say no to madewell, especially with 40% off.

i was asked yesterday who i would sign to when the music gets some traction. i told them, ideally, i would do cmg with gotti for 2 years, then go home to ovo. that would actually be a dream. those are two of my favorite rappers, plus i think it’d be fitting. i ran some songs i recorded earlier this year on the drive into work, and though the audio engineering isn’t there, i just love what i recorded. maybe not what i recorded, but what i’ve wrote. at the end of the day, i’m a writer and that’s where this journey of music begins.
but yea, that’s my ideal pathway, because being in biotech isn’t cutting it.

yesterday i wrote how fall is here, tonight apparently winter is, too. i got out the gym, then went to wendy’s because it was the only thing open. there’s a lady who works there that always strikes up conversation with me. she’s kind, i don’t mind our conversations because it’s usually while the food is being prepared. she said new hampshire was getting snow as we speak. then she looked out the drive thru window at the sky. she said we were supposed to be getting snow but it’s nowhere to be found. hours later, i stepped out to let btg out before bed and it was snowing. i couldn’t believe it. how we go from 70’s to snowing in 4 days?? albeit all the trouble snow can cause, i actually love how it looks. it’s something about a winter wonderland that does it for me. though i’m pretty sure this snow will be gone by tomorrow morning, i think i’m ready to embrace the cold.

with tropical storm nicole coming this way, it
was cozy to end the work week. i thought it was abnormally warm for this time
of the year, especially for new england. just as i’m thinking that, i wake up
to let bagel out this morning and it is brick outside. the temperature might’ve
dropped 30-40 degrees over 24 hours. shit caught me way off guard. i think i’ll
have to start putting on his jacket when he goes out, even if it’s just for a
few minutes.
if there ever was a question in my mind whether or not fall was here, there is none whatsoever after today.

they oversold the flight to heathrow from logan, so instead of flying out last night at 9:45pm, my dad flew out today at 5pm. my mom dropped him off for the woburn express but called me because he forgot his phone. it was raining decent, so when i merged on to i-93s, the sequoia slipped a little. this happens from time due to the ko2’s, but this time had my heart racing lol. luckily for us, we got traction back and was able to get my dad his phone.
my mom texted me that he made his flight, so the mission was a success.

i’ve always maintained i’m a nike guy (which i am), but i saw a pair of shorts at lululemon today that intrigued me. the shorts were burnt orange and they fit pretty well. plus, they were a little under $30 after tax. i still think lulu is mad overpriced, but maybe i’m beginning to change my mind about the brand.
i’m still team nike forever, though a pair of shorts isn’t a bad start with something different.

happy 11/11. you have the whole day to make a wish. plus, it’s 11/11/22. today’s date is fire, i can’t even lie to you. we got paid earlier, but that’s going to my credit card. i went crazy in october, but definitely gotta get back on my financials for this month. oh and gia was born today, so happy born day to her!!
congratulations to my brother money on becoming a father, he’s stepping into another chapter of life and i couldn’t be more excited for him.
