on my walk with bagel today, i saw a small dog roaming around with no leash and no owner in sight. i walked across the street and was able to grab him by the collar. his name was teddy bear and he had two numbers on his name tag. i called both and texted both, but no one answered. i waited 10 minutes, then decided to take him home until they contacted me. i carried teddy all the way home, about a half-mile. right as i’m going to cross the street to my house, an suv pulls up and looks at teddy. turns out it’s a lady who lives across from the owners. she told me her owner is driving around the area looking for him, and that she could take him. i handed teddy over and received a text he had gotten home safely within 20 minutes.
