in the hotel room, i was flipping thru channels and came across 20/20. i used to watch it religiously every friday in 6th grade but hadn’t watched in years. i was looking for john stossel, but he wasn’t there. tonight’s episode involved a girl named gypsy and the story of how she killed her mother with her boyfriend at the time because her mother forced her to fake illnesses her whole life. she said her boyfriend stabbed her mother in her sleep as her mother was calling out for her. after, they had sex in her room next to her mother’s. these stories sound unreal, but the surreal is as real as real gets at times during this life.
by the end of the episode, i didn’t know what or how i felt, but i knew the 6th grade me would’ve been intrigued.
