this weekend has felt long, which is rare. i’m enjoying it, though. i’ve spent my time locked in my room trying to catch up on rdl365. i’ve finished september 24, which means i’m about half-way through to getting caught up. this afternoon though, i thought about what if i changed the aesthetic again to just black font with white paper scanned and highlighted? i don’t know, i always second-guess myself when things aren’t working how i want them to, but maybe i’ll do another aesthetic switch up after i finish these photos, we’ll see. i was in and out of sleep today. i napped in between episodes of sex & the city and working on rdl365. by the time it was 5pm, i got up from my last nap with bagel and we went on a walk. afterwards, i grabbed some dinner at panda express (i’ve been craving), pick up a few things from target, and got my haircut. alas, somehow by the end of the night, i was able to attain 15k steps. my panda express fortune cookie said persistence pays off, which is exactly what i needed to hear.
i have work tomorrow and i can’t wait until the week is over

for the past few weeks, i’ve been living off this cheeseburger meal deal my local mcdonald’s is running off their app. it’s 20 nuggets, two medium fries, and two cheeseburgers for $10. you can’t beat that man. it’s good, but damn is it unhealthy. that’s why i be trying to pace myself. i eat the two medium fries, then put the nuggets in some spring mix (along with an avocado) to make a salad out of them. then the next day, i make a double cheeseburger out of the two cheeseburgers, throw the extra two pieces of bread to the animals, then make the same salad out of the remaining 10 nuggets. two meals for $10?
feels like i’m back in the 2000’s again.

happy fourth to anyone reading this! i had plans for this long weekend including fireworks in boston, a cookout at hampton beach, and even a vietnamese food festival thing in hartford, but i decided to abandon them in favor for writing and recording. i figure i can enjoy myself when these things work out, because this consistency has to pay off eventually. right?
right.

it’s only day 3 and i’m back to talking about my 15k steps lol. tonight, i went to la fitness because it was raining to get the remainder of my steps. i spent 87 minutes on the treadmill doing so. when i sent the picture to t, she said that 87 minutes on the treadmill is crazy. on my drive home, i thought that it was actually crazy but in the moment when you’re on a mission it doesn’t feel as much. still with day 3 in the books, we got the 15k done.
28 more days.

i just read something that said as of today, we are closer to 2050 than we are 2000.
smh, did that hurt you as bad as it hurt me??

we are officially half-way thru the year. well, probably not technically seeing as february has 28 days and we can never really be half-way thru the year because 365 is an odd number, but for the sake of simplicity, we are half-way thru the year. in june, i was able to hit my goal of 100 push-ups per day and over 100g of protein per day. i missed 100g protein one day, but 29/30 isn’t bad. this month, i’m renewing my subscription to 100g protein per day and adding 15k steps as well. after my lunch workout, i was taking a walk when i saw brandon. i didn’t even recognize him. he was in shades, shorts, and a button-up top. he said he worked from home, but that it was an easy day, so he figured he’d walk to work and get a workout in and take a long lunch. we spoke for a few minutes about summer, the july 4th holiday coming up, and sticking to our goals before we parted ways. that’s a good dude right there. after work, i went to play basketball, but since they were having the kids summer program, we shut it down after an hour. it was raining when i got home so i had to go to la fitness to get my remaining 5k steps in. it took 43 minutes at a 3.6 pace, but we got there. i’m so tired. this is probably my most difficult challenge, even more so than my mile-a-day for lent, smh.
i don’t even know how i’ll get 15k steps a day, but i’ll have to find a way.

i came in yesterday to set up an experiment so we could get results today, but the machine to get the results is not working. i stayed until 6pm trying to troubleshoot, but it just wasn’t going to happen. all this for nothing.
i could’ve stayed at home yesterday lol.

i was doing my push-ups for the day, finishing the ted bundy tapes on netflix, when my mom asked if i wanted to go to lunch with the family. they were going to drop a tv off at oum reth’s house and then go to a buffet. i helped my dad load the tv in the highlander and we were on our way. we dropped the tv off in chelsea, then we all went to eat at a buffet oum reth said was good. the food indeed was good. when everyone finished eating, i had to go to work to set up an experiment. i stayed at work for 2 hours before coming home to take bagel to the park for a walk. i’m back now, about to make a salad and work on a few things for my rdl365 page. though sundays aren’t made for work, i don’t mind working on my creative endeavors.
as far as the corporate stuff, today was an anomaly.

without even thinking of it, i missed my daily protein goal by 33g today. it’s the first time all month, but it’s too late to eat now. plus, i’m about to fall asleep writing this. the silver lining in all this is at least i got to go to richardson’s tonight and have a cup of milky way. it’s been 3 or 4 weeks since the last time i’ve gotten it, which is probably why it tasted even more amazing tonight.

i just pulled up to work and parked the sequoia against the back wall. another car pulled up against the east side backwall and backed-in as well. it’s been 10 minutes and we’re both just sitting in our cars lol. even though it’s friday, i do not want to go in. but then again, when do i ever want to come to this place, smh.
