half-way goals, 7.1.25

we are officially half-way thru the year. well, probably not technically seeing as february has 28 days and we can never really be half-way thru the year because 365 is an odd number, but for the sake of simplicity, we are half-way thru the year. in june, i was able to hit my goal of 100 push-ups per day and over 100g of protein per day. i missed 100g protein one day, but 29/30 isn’t bad. this month, i’m renewing my subscription to 100g protein per day and adding 15k steps as well. after my lunch workout, i was taking a walk when i saw brandon. i didn’t even recognize him. he was in shades, shorts, and a button-up top. he said he worked from home, but that it was an easy day, so he figured he’d walk to work and get a workout in and take a long lunch. we spoke for a few minutes about summer, the july 4th holiday coming up, and sticking to our goals before we parted ways. that’s a good dude right there. after work, i went to play basketball, but since they were having the kids summer program, we shut it down after an hour. it was raining when i got home so i had to go to la fitness to get my remaining 5k steps in. it took 43 minutes at a 3.6 pace, but we got there. i’m so tired. this is probably my most difficult challenge, even more so than my mile-a-day for lent, smh.

i don’t even know how i’ll get 15k steps a day, but i’ll have to find a way.
