level 99, 3.21.24

i’m rarely ever in the natick area, but level 99 this afternoon was fire. plus, it was in the afternoon so it wasn’t packed. there was a room where there was a ball in a maze under a plexiglass sheet. you had to move the floor by standing in different areas to shift your weight to get the ball to move. we didn’t get it, but after exiting the room, i was so disoriented lmao. another one of my favorite rooms was a room where you had to move a record (on the floor) to match the color of a beam coming down. as i’m typing, i’ve realized all these rooms are hard to explain so i’ll just explain level 99. level 99 is a place which has rooms with obstacles and activities. some are physical, others are mental. it’s a fun place to go that offers something different than going to an arcade or a bar.

long story short: it was a good time.

the passing of time, 3.20.24

a lot can change in a year. shit, a lot can change in just one minute. life is incredible in that sense. change can be for the worse or for the better and it’s ironic you never know until the change has occurred. you start living without people you can’t live without. you begin to show yourself sides of you, you’ve never known. new memories are made as a result of old experiences. it’s all a part of life. i talk about it with erica from time and we always come to the conclusion that through the good, the bad, and the ugly, life is amazing. they say you’re always one decision away from a completely different life and i’ve been moving so decisive these days. i’ve always been one to pride myself in remaining the same through change, but maybe i should change with the times.

maybe holding on to myself was holding me back.

missing chipotle, 3.19.24

the al pastor is back at chipotle, but the past two times i’ve went, they have been out of either beans, rice, lettuce, or vinaigrette, smh. tonight, i had to settle for chick-fil-a. it was good, but it wasn’t the al pastor, smh.

finalizing fonts, 3.18.24

i was looking over fonts today for a few of the single covers and the coming home lateee album artwork. though writing is my main expression, i do love good design. they say to do what you can with what you have and certainly i’m liking how coming home lateee is turning out.

can’t wait to show the world.

olipop sodas, 3.17.24

i went to target tonight. i was looking for kombucha because i want to try to drink a bottle every morning for health benefits. as i opened the fridge, i saw an elderly lady approaching. she was with her daughter and her daughter’s daughter. her daughter told me the olipop sodas were good and that she’s had almost every flavor except watermelon. her recommendations were grape and something else i forgot. she said it tastes like soda without the thick consistency. i got the grape and the cream soda. i just finished the grape and i must say, she is right. the only issue is these is like $3 per can lol. although, i do like how there is only 4g of sugar and how there was some juice in the grape one.

these might be the move from here on out!

assembly times, 3.16.24

we went to some japanese joint with skewers in assembly tonight. the waiter was mad gay, which i have to write because it was too flamboyant not to remember. he would make faces at us when he came around and his gestures were very unique. he was actually very nice, just very flamboyant which had me cracking up a little. other tables took note of it, too. i can’t explain what he was doing, it was one of those things where you had to be there. and if you weren’t you have to trust me lol. afterwards, we walked to lucky strike. we passed a lululemon which i never knew they had in assembly row. we played basketball. the high score was 50 and i got up to 34. i felt if the balls kept coming back to me quick (pause) that i would’ve been able to hit the high score.

maybe i’ll try next time, but for now, i’ll just enjoy a few w’s after a good dinner.

cozzzyness, 3.15.24

i checked crocs website for their cozzzy slippers they had back in october/november. they had one size left in mens for the color i wanted, which was mushroom. that one size happened to be mine. i ordered with the quickness and they came in today. these will definitely be added to the studio rotation. i like to be comfortable when recording so i’m usually in sweats, a tee, and some slides/slippers. i’m trying to finish up troubled spirits tonight, so these crocs slippers will be getting put to use asap.

11-hour days, 3.13.24

i didn’t fall asleep until 3am. i told jennifer to call me at 6:10am and she did. we had to go in early to start an experiment. i thought i was going to leave when we were done at 2, but things just kept piling on, smh. even afterwards, we were invited by our bosses to meet their bosses from 5pm-6pm. i just got home, walked bagel, and somehow ran my mile for the day. i am beatttt.

let’s catch up tomorrow.

the night before, 3.12.24

today was bonus day, so that’s always a positive. i was talking to eric at lunch and he said he’s ready for the warmer weather. he’s from ghana, so he doesn’t prefer the cold weather. because i’m from north carolina, i can relate. him and i complain all winter long awaiting day light savings and spring. it’s here now and i couldn’t be any happier. though we didn’t get much snow this winter, it was a cold one for sure. one i’ll remember for a very long time. the first day of spring is next week and i couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come in these next few months.

oh, and happy 7th year anniversary to the running diary.

thank you for reading and keeping up with me.

even if it’s not every day, just you checking in on me means the world.
