back to bowling, 2.11.24

we went to kings tonight. i downed two mocktails then we hit the alley. first game i was able to win. then they said i had to bowl with my fingers in the holes for the second game because it was easier to do so without (which i had spent the majority of the first game doing). i bowled with my fingers in for the 2nd game and ended up winning with a score of 145. i wish i would’ve taken a pic, but just knowing i won feels good lmaoo. when we left, the girl at the counter asked me how it went. i told her it was good because i won. she laughed then held her hand up for a high 5. she told me to come back and i said i would be. i just got home and i’m tired af.

tomorrow, technically today, is the super bowl and i’m already looking forward to getting something to eat for the big game.

babies on babies, 2.10.24

when i woke up and went downstairs, my cousin was here with her baby. she is 2 months old and is sooooo precious. she was asleep and bagel was sniffing her lmao. i don’t think he’s ever seen a baby in his life, so he was wondering what was going on. maybe it was the scent of my cousin’s dog on her, too. either way, i was talking to my cousin about having a kid and being a mother. she said it’s now setting in that she’s a mom, but that she enjoys it. she told me i’m next up and that she’s passing it to me. i told her i’m good until i get to where i want to be financially. my cousin had the same thought, but then she got pregnant lol. either way it goes, it’ll happen when it happens. i’m in no rush whatsoever.

staying busy, 2.9.24

left work early to head to newbury street. i was able to get a matching set from zara. it’s a little baggy, but i liked the color and the fabric so i said why not. we stopped by riccardi. they got new chrome hearts in, but the hoodie i wanted didn’t fit as oversized as most of their pieces do, so i passed on it. i was able to call the store in aspen, but since it’s a friday, they told me they would respond to my email on monday. they have the color and size of the hoodie i want, so here’s to hoping i’ll get an order confirmation on monday. afterwards, i went home, walked and fed bagel, then drove back to the city. i picked up schuni and we filmed another version of december 2023 music video. i like this version a lot better than the one we filmed last month, so this will be going out within the next week to two weeks.

we went to maya for dinner tonight and we got to talking about kids and families and whatnot. jennifer said one thing her brother, who just had his first child last year, told her that when she does have kids, to make sure the other person deserves to have a child with you. i can’t remember exactly how she said that he said it, but i loved the sentiment. a lot of people have kids out of emotions, or to save a relationship, or even to come up on a check. i want my kid to be a product of love and i want whoever has my children to be deserving of so. like i could not have picked, or rather, God could not have made a better mother for my children than who is having them. the same way she should feel nobody could be a better father for her children than me, and there is nobody else more deserving to having her children than i am.

i really love that sentiment and i love that jennifer’s brother told her that.

i couldn’t decide which color of vintage sneakers to get next, but after surveying a few people, i decided to go with black. originally i was going to cop the brown, but i don’t have any black shoes so i pulled the trigger. they should be here next week and i’m excited.

there isn’t enough space for every body so they are getting rid of assigned desks and moving towards a ‘hotel’ first come first serve approach. i’m not a fan, but some people are. i think what is going to happen is that people will sit at the same desks regardless once it’s implemented next monday. i’m looking at my desk right now and i have to clean-up my pens, my calendar, my picture, and the post-it notes lol. feels like i’m resigning, but really, i’m just moving my belongings to a locker, smh.

tea tuesdays, 2.5.24

due to my vocal lessons and my recording routine lately, my voice has been getting hoarse. i’ve decided to take the next few days off from recording, which is going to set the atlanta tampa release back. my singing teacher says the vocal cords are muscles so they should be treated as such. besides drinking water while recording, i haven’t done much to take care of them and it’s becoming evident. i’m going to start by drinking hot tea every day in the morning when i get to work and grabbing a cup for the road when i leave. they have 8 different varieties of tea at work, so i’m sure there are a few without caffeine.

let’s hope by the end of the week, atlanta tampa will be ready.

i’ve been neglecting maya for the past few weeks. i pulled up today and got two lassis and the tikka masala. it was good as always. it was also a nice to get out the house and eat out on a monday night.

i got to lucky strike and the bouncer/security asked for my id. when he got it, he said he would’ve never been able to tell my age by looking at me. he was very kind and i took that as a compliment. i told him to have a good night as he told me to take my hood off as i headed up the stairs. i obliged, then went on to eat some burgers, some fries, and win some plushes. i just got back home. i’m about to change and head to the stu.
