talking to chan in between his tables at ishi tonight had me thinking. he said he tries his best not think about how old he is, because if he does, he’ll feel it. if he doesn’t think about it, he doesn’t feel it. such a simple way of thinking, yet quite impactful. he’s only a few months younger than me, so to hear him say that made me come to terms with my age in my predicament a bit better. in the grand scheme of things, we’re both still young as hell.
it just doesn’t feel like it at times.
