working with btg, 11.21.20

sebastian called me yesterday while out to lunch with johnny asking if i could cover johnny’s shift today at get fit. i told him i could, and because the shift is longer than 4 hours, i brought bagel. having bagel at work with me is a relief, but it can get stressful because he begins treating work like home in terms of verifying who comes in and out. luckily saturdays are slow. in fact, we only had 4 customers today. one of the customers was cashing out, and bagel (on his long lead) walks around the corner and begins whining. the customer can’t see him, but can hear him. i apologize to her for bagel’s whining, but she says no need to apologize. she tells me she dogsits in her spare time and that she loves dogs. she went on to mention how she had to put her dog down last month. her dog was a german shepherd who was 13. 13 is a good age, especially for how big gsds are. while she was walking to the door, she reiterated how it was okay to have bagel here because she loves dogs. if it’s one thing that can bridge the gap between culture, race, religion, politics, and etc., it is definitely dogs. dogs are the answer to everything.

well, that is if you ask me and bagel.
