with covid delaying deliveries, i don’t pay much attention to tracking as i used to. today the doorbell rang, and i didn’t make much of it. when i went downstairs to put something in the trash, i opened the door on the way back up. turns out, it was the kobe poster i ordered! now that i’m older, i can go on scavenger hunts for things i never got or never knew existed growing up. my favorite kobe sneaker is the kobe vi. it’s the slickest of his line, and i love the snake scale design along with the tongue. looking back, the year the vi came out was 2010-2011. kobe as fresh off 3 straight finals appearances, 2 repeat titles, and he was undoubtbly the best basketball player in the world. 2010-2011 probably was the best two year stretch of my life to date. it’s debatable, but you know how nostalgia works. so anyways, i got the poster, now i’m headed to get the frame from target. the poster is actually a store display piece from footlocker. it will go above a media press kit from the kobe vi release, of which there were only 200 units manufactured. i’ll get into that one a little later, but for right now, this poster needs a frame.
