i read this quote vivienne westwood said which was “buy less, choose better.” that put so many things into perspective for me, especially fashion-wise. i’ve been thinking lately. my tastes are changing, plus i’ve spent my whole life buying things i didn’t really, really love. this is apparent when i get dressed to go out. i have so many clothes but have “nothing” to wear. tonight, i went to my closet and pulled aside many clothes i’m going to sell/get rid of. i also have to go through my shoes as well. it’s like i get high off purchasing things i never had when i was younger, only to realize i don’t really want them. there’s a word for that phenomenon, but i can’t think of it at the moment. more than fashion, i’m really at the point of my life where i’m taking risks yet refining my tastes.

i think they call that getting to know yourself.
