your dad texted me today as i was headed to the park with bagel. he texted me a photo of his new whip. it’s a beauty. you know he loves his classics, so that’s what he had to cop. i remember when he came to visit you one time in charlotte when we lived together. you two were heading to the white water center. you went down before him and he stayed behind. he showed alexis and i a picture of a new chevy chevelle he copped. you told me about it earlier in the week, but i hadn’t actually seen a photo of it. when he showed us the photo i said it was fire, plus it was clean as hell. before he went to meet you downstairs, he told us that chevelle was going to be yours one day. that had to be less than two years ago. we’re getting further away from that moment, but it still feels so close in my heart.
