during our walk, bagel turned his head and focused on the bushes in front of the church parking lot. when i looked closer to what he was focusing on, it was a small white dog laying in a pile of leaves under the bushes. a lady was walking towards us and i asked if it was her dog or if she knew anybody who was missing a dog with similar physical properties. she answered no to both questions, and as she did, the dog took off. long story short, i ran behind the church and chased the dog up the hill and around the pond before he lost me by either running into another bush or hiding. disappointed, i continued my walk home running in to ms. donna. i told her about the dog, and she said she saw the dog 4 days ago running around while she was on her way to work at 6:00am. she said she posted about him on the nextdoor app, but nobody responded. she told me she would post again, and that she would keep an eye out. 4 days ago?? that’s a long time!! to me at least. i couldn’t imagine losing bagel for 4 or more days.
i’m determined to assist in finding the dog and returning it home to his/her owner.
