while watching the news and eating lunch, a story came up about a 20 year-old uncc student dying earlier this moring/last night. she was riding a party bus downtown before she fell out of an emergency window and into oncoming traffic. she was hit by two vehicles before first-responders arrived and pronounced her dead at the scene. prayers up and condolences. they say there’s something positive to be taken out of everything that happens in life, but i’m still struggling to see the silver lining through clouded thoughts these days.
i hate to hear bad news, even worse when it’s close to home.
