two katsus, 2.14.22
i don’t know whether the portions of meals offered at restaurants have been getting smaller due to supply chain issues, inflation, or whatever the case may be, but lately i’ve been eating double. today, i decide to get lunch at dumpling daughter. when i get there, i order two chicken katsus. due to me being done for the day, i decided to dine in. when they brought them out, the lady looked confused, but i told her i did order two katsus lmao. i ate the first bowl no problem, but ¾’s way through the second bowl, i began to hit a wall. long story short, i finished both bowls after listening to a podcast on herb baumeister. when i finished the ep, i did my ritualistic post-listen googles. i came across a website selling serial killer artifacts. one was a check signed by herb. i don’t even know how they got what they have in their inventory, but it’s kind of crazy to think people will pay for these things. they even have a prison id of the guy who killed john lennon up for 15k. ironically in the episode, one of the hosts asked if herb’s property (where bones/remains were found) would be worth more to them due to everything that happened there, and the other host laughed and said yes. i guess true crime is just like sports in which people will pay top dollar for souvenirs and artifacts because they are fans.
i guess if that’s the case, i’m not really a fan.
