i keep receiving coupons for this new burger joint called blacow. blacow, from what i can tell, is almost like cowfish. they serve burgers and sushi. their advertisement was ‘the best burger in charlotte wasn’t in charlotte until now.’ being a burger fanatic, i’ve been meaning to try this place out. best burger in charlotte is a bold ass statement, so you know i had to verify. before the colts vs packers game, i got take out of their flagship burger, the blacow, with fries and sweet thai chili wings. the fries were good. the blacow burger with wagyu beef, tempura avocado, teriyaki glaze, and nori furikake was decent. perhaps it was because it was takeout or maybe because of expectations , but the burger didn’t wow me. it was good, but not great, which means it was decent aka easily forgettable. the wings were good as wings are wings. sweet thai chili was a smooth flavor, so next time i give blacow a try, i’ll know i can rely on the wings shall i not like the burger while dining in.
by the way, if you’re reading and looking to try, it’s literally where the old tacomac behind cheddars in university is.
overall, 7/10 if you ask meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
