trials and errors, 2.24.24
during my vocal lesson, i found it hard to match the pitch of the piano. i told my teacher i was nervous, and generally anxious. he told me that it was okay and that we just have to find a way to connect the wires. he said all it takes is one time, once we find what works once, everything will fall into place. then it made me think about how success is just finding out what works, because the work ethic, commitment, and dedication will bridge whatever gap is left. though those things should be there initially in order to find out what works. my singing teacher ran through a bunch of examples of trial and error and how even some things were discovered on accident such as vulcanized rubber. it made me feel a lot better. the rest of the lesson went by a lot better than the first half.
since i’ve been taking singing lessons, i’ve learned a lot of these things are bigger than the music itself.
