while dono was waiting for fitting rooms to try on some soccer pants in the adidas store, i was talking to dbaze about how thankful i am to have grown up in the 2000’s. not to say life isn’t great now, but life was on fire growing up. besides not paying bills, pressure to be an adult, etc, the 2000’s as a whole was incredible. the quality of music was meaningful, the fashion, despite being laughable now, was creative, and most of all, technology was more of a convenience than a necessity. these days everything seems dependent on technology and social media. back then, it seemed as if these things were additives to our everyday life, rather than our whole lives.
maybe it’s the nostalgia, or perhaps it’s the subjective bias in me, but whatever it is, i’m thankful.
