the test drive, 11.17.23

i went to a dealership in mendon to test drive a lexus. the plan was to go there, then to call the carmax in tulsa to check their inventory for the actual gs i wanted. everything was going to plan until afterwards. when i called the tulsa carmax, the gs was sold. it was terrible timing because it was just on their website last night, less than 24 hours ago. i missed it by even less than i missed the first gs on my radar in september, smh. it sounds crazy, but being in that car inspired me. i don’t know what it was, because the car itself is about 7 years old, but the test drive put the idea in my mind that i could do whatever i wanted to in this life. i can’t explain it, but i left the dealership with more than i came with, without paying a cent out of my pocket.

as for the car, i know i’ll get the timing right, eventually.
and by that time, it’ll be meant to be.
