i was craving gnocchi tonight so i drove to olive garden in danvers after the gym. when i arrived, it was packed, but the bar was empty so i sat there. there was a guy who was serving me but he disappeared halfway through my meal, but the girl working was sweet as she took care of me. i overheard another worker asking her if she enjoyed working the bar and she said no. i felt bad because she may have been covering for someone the way she answered the question. at the end of the meal, she gave me a gnocchi to-go and even offered to bag my food for me. that was kind of her. as i was leaving, the tape player on the sequoia stopped working which was an inconvenience, but not a surprise as it’s 21 years old. i wanted a sweet treat so i went to five guys. as i went in, i held the door open for the gentleman behind me. i ordered a strawberry milkshare. i was order 15 and when the worker called my order, he called 16, which was the guy behind me. when i went to pick up my shake i saw that order 16 was also a shake. as i was leaving, i held the door open for him one more time and he told me “good choice.” i looked at him and told him it was worth the drive. we laughed before wishing each other good night. i just got back home and i think i’m catching the itis. i still have to shower, record, and write a few things but i think i’ll lay here for a little longer.
