the results, 2.28.24

i brought btg to the vet yesterday to check out a lump on his inner thigh. they said they weren’t worried about it since they couldn’t get any cells from the fine needle aspiration, but what they were worried about was his weight loss. i knew he lost weight, but i was surprised when the scale said 67lbs. he’s always been around 80, but then he dropped to 75 last summer. last summer bagel was a good weight, but 67lbs is way too low. his bloodwork came back good, so that was a relief, but his weight loss and his eating habits are still a mystery. i am going to try to introduce some fresh/raw foods to his diet in hopes he’s able to eat more and gain a little bit more weight. i hope it’s just him being picky as he’s getting older thing. other than that, the vet says his teeth, joints, and muscles are in phenomenal shape, which is a blessing in itself.

looks like we have a trip to petco for us tomorrow.
