the exit 21 bridge, 10.13.23

there was a back up getting off i93 on exit 21. as i sat in traffic, i looked around. to my left, i saw the bridge i always get on i93 when going northbound after work. i thought about how someone jumped off some months back and didn’t make it. i think it was beginning of summer. i wonder what they missed out on and if things would’ve gotten better by now for them had they not made that decision to jump off, but perhaps there was no decision to be made. emotions can be that strong and that uncontrollable just as much as life can be that difficult and that unfortunate.

it’s all so hard to comprehend at times.
