i saw my doctor today. knowing it would be the last time i’d see her for a minute, i decided to surprise her with a selfie we took the last time i saw her at uncc. this was in 2013. towards the end of the visit, i pulled the selfie out and showed her. she paused and deadass looked at the selfie for a few minutes. she said i was 20 at the time, and i told her i thought i was so old back then, now look at me lol. i am really appreciative to the universe for crossing our paths. although i am another patient to her, she made a difference in my life. i told her i was glad she remembered me when we reconnected. she told me she will be in charlotte if i ever decide to come back and visit. we hugged before i went to check out. it didn’t hit me until i got in the elevator that i’ll surely miss this city, along with all the times with all the people i’ve met here.
just a few days left, gotta make the most of it.
