i spoke to dono on the phone tonight, and it was our longest conversation since before he left to utah. not only did he sound better, he sounded hopeful. he said he was ready to get back home and keep improving. i can’t tell you how proud i am of him. i don’t know why things happened the way they did, but when i told him i couldn’t make sense of it, dono said this situation is gonna humble him. his situation would humble any of us, but dono is someone who isn’t in need of humbling. dono is a pure individual. he minds his business, he’s always willing to help, and he’s never starting any problems with anyone. the focus now is getting better. i asked what his plans were when he got back to fayetteville, and he said work from home, continue physical therapy, and chill with dbaze. i said i gotta come see them boys down there to which he responded there’s a room waiting for me. dono, my brother for life.
let’s live it up from here on out.
