sundays in the city, 6.6.21

we went downtown today and explored. it was hot af, even for me. we started at chinatown and made our way around a few blocks. we took a duck boat tour which was hella fun. our tour guide was a kindergarten teacher. the kids love him, i could just tell. he was approachable, nice, knowledgeable, and charismatic. the duck boat is actually a marvel to me. so pretty much duck boats are vehicles from world war ii that can go on land and in water. the tour took a little over an hour. we even took a dip in the charles river. one of the things our tour guide touched on that i was wondering was how clean is the charles river. the charles river apparently used to be dirty, but the city cleaned it up. to prove his point, he stuck a jar in the river to retrieve some water. it was pretty damn clear for public river water. after the tour finished, we made our way back to chinatown to eat at peach farm, a chinese restaurant with the smallest bathrooms ever.

food was good though, as was the day.
