our flight got delayed 3 times. we were supposed to land in boston at 11pm, but now we are taking off at 1am. the plane had to go to portland, maine, then come back to take us to boston. with everything going on, i think we will arrive at my house around 3:30-3:40am. i’ll have to miss work tomorrow, but i’m not trying to complain too much. i was sitting down and a pilot comes around the corner. i don’t know how he knew we were delayed, but he started the conversation saying how we should write a complaint to the company via email, then print out the email, then sign it, then mail it to their offices. he says maybe we could get a voucher and that if we do, we should use it because only 50% of vouchers are used. he was so kind and so nice. i just wonder how he knew we were delayed. then he went on to say how airlines are tightly scheduled because they don’t want people like him (a pilot) sitting around getting paid if they aren’t flying. he walked away and told us good luck.

man, he was so nice.

every so often i’m reminded that good-hearted, kind individuals like him exist in this world.
