i saw a post on facebook that said today was the 5 year anniversary of steph hitting the game winner in okc. i deadass remember where i was that night. it was a beautiful time, a time i should’ve appreciated more. there were a few reasons why i was in town, well two main ones. one, i was picking up the desktop computer my brother built for me. 2, i was gonna go see a shorty i was involved with. over the few days i was there, we did see each other and it was a great time. she wanted to see me one last time after work, but i was watching the game with someone i met in 2014. she showed me a fantastic, and cheap, hibachi joint near her dorm at nc state. we got up with a few of her friends and watched the okc vs gsw game. when steph curry hit the game winner, we all exploded. i had never been a warriors fan, but i couldn’t help but to appreciate the greatness. the girl i was watching the game with tweeted something about me, then the shorty i was there to see that weekend saw it, and it became a whole fiasco. within the next month things fizzled out between us, but the downfall started that night. the girl i watched the steph curry game winner with is in med school now and i don’t even know where shorty i should’ve been with is but ironically i still think of her from time.
i guess that’s the way things go.
