i came across an interabled couple tonight on facebook. they have a youtube channel, squirmy and grubs. shane is 26 and was born with spinal muscular atrophy, hannah is 23 and is able-bodied. after a mini binge-watch session of their videos, i found their connection to be so genuine. i felt so happy for shane and so happy for hannah. love is something that transcends race, differences, and disabilities among many other things.
i truly believe in the sentiment that there’s someone for everyone. the only obstacle we face is finding that person, but perhaps it’s not about finding love as much as it is about letting it find us.
