southern manners, 5.14.19

i walked into academy and there was an older white gentleman sitting in one of the beach chairs. he didn’t have on the blue vest, so i knew he wasn’t a worker. we caught eye contact and he said hello and asked me how i was doing. just some random white guy i had never seen, and probably will never see again. that type of stuff only happens in the south, and albeit it’s a small gesture, i love it. southern manners is a real thing. southern hospitality is a real thing.

the south will forever be home.
