slipping hills, 1.6.24

it started snowing heavy earlier than expected. i went to the gym, then to burlington mall to return mom’s north face jacket. as i was driving back home, literally one road from the neighborhood, i tried braking and slipped all the way past central. i was on the phone with schuni at the time and it was so unexpected. there wasn’t much snow on the road at the time, so i couldn’t imagine why the sequoia slipped, but luckily i was able to stop at the bottom and not hit anything or anyone. i had a hard time getting back up the hill, but with patience, i made it back home. we were supposed to go out tonight, but i had to call it off.

i think i’ll write and spend some quality time with bagel as the snow falls on this cold january night in the year 2024.
