over the weekend, the ac unit went out for our 2nd floor. this happened last year and some guy came to refill the freon. because of this, mom and dad slept in the living room sunday night. ta slept in the family room. bagel and i slept in the basement. it was such a good slumber i didn’t even wake up until 8am this morning, and that’s after falling asleep at 11:30pm. it was the most sleep i’ve had in one night in (maybe) years. my dad had an epiphany mid-nap yesterday that the capacitor may have went out. i don’t know how he came to that conclusion, but it doesn’t surprise me because he’s a genius. he calls me over and tells me to order a few parts. thanks to amazon prime shipping, the part came in over night. we installed it today, and sure enough the system cranked.
it’s much cooler now and all seems to be normal, but let’s hope it continues to be throughout the night as we’re all transitioning back to sleeping upstairs.
