thanksgiving is 1 day away, yet it doesn’t feel like it. there needs to be a study of the holiday spirit and why it decreases as we get older. i remember as a kid looking forward to thanksgiving break because monday and tuesday were school days, while the rest of the week was off. then after we got back from thanksgiving break, in two weeks was the month long winter break. most times i don’t, but sometimes i miss school. school gave me an appreciation of time off and what freedom felt like.
these days now just blur together.
