my cousin told me in 2018 that raising canes was better than chick-fil-a. of course i didn’t believe him. there weren’t any locations near me in charlotte. if i remember correctly, the closest one was in greenville. i wasn’t thinking of raising canes until i moved up here to boston. they have one location by the city in allston. being a chick-fil-a believer, i never wanted to go out of my way to try raising canes. because mom is in houston, i been forgetting to pack a lunch to work. a couple of coworkers and i were talking about chicken places, and raising canes got brought up. we pulled up, and though the line wasn’t long, the wait was. i got a 4-piece tender meal. i’ll go one by one of my initial impressions. the fries were crinkle-cut; 8/10. the sauce was familiar, yet unique; 7/10. the chicken was decent, but the breading was thin/falling off; 7/10. the texas toast had a good flavor; 9/10. the sweet tea was ass; 2/10. overall; 7.5/10. i would go back again, but it wouldn’t be my first choice. i dm'ed my cousin and told his ass raising canes wasn’t better than chick-fil-a, but it is solid
still though, nothing compares to bojangles.
