merry christmas to all!!!

okay now that i got that out the way, i came to the conclusion last year that christmas is so anti-climactic. you open presents in the am and don’t do anything for the rest of the day. that’s probably why men are always washing their cars or why families are always at the theatres later in the day come to think of it. because of this epiphany, i decided it’d be best to open presents after dinner. alexis and i took part in our ritual in going to river buffet for christmas day. it was busy, and i loved it. a few observations from the river include the black pepper chicken was spicy, the lady sitting at the table adjacent to us had on a great christmas sweater, and getting seated by the door wasn’t the best of luck as it was cold due to them keeping the front doors open. still, a great time as always. after we got back from the river, we opened gifts, and what a terrific time it was. i got new headphones, skincare products, and a 10 inch cubone among many other things, but the greatest gift of all was time. time spent celebrating the holidays surrounded by positive vibes and love. as hard as it was waiting to open gifts during the evening, it was well worth it. pm presents might be, just might be, tradition-worthy.

if it is, we’ll find out next year.
