opening day festivities, 4.3.25

every year, the building hosts a cookout for the red sox opening day. last year, i didn’t experience it because i was on a 3-day fast so this year i made sure not to miss it. i didn’t make it in time to get a red sox cup, but i did get some food. it wasn’t as good as i remembered it being in years past, but that may be because of the rain. also, i did get my caricature for the 2nd year in a row. i actually got it by the same guy who did my caricature last year, but i doubt he would remember me as he does them for red sox games and private events. he says he has a badge for fenway, so he doesn’t need a ticket, which is actually a great perk. he’s been working with them since 2008, which makes sense because he’s really good at what he does. i got my caricature, went to smartlabs to grab another free lunch, and then went about my day.

though it rained on our parade today, i still enjoyed myself.
