thinking what has philip been up to, i googled
his name. turns out he coached his first football game as st. michael’s
head coach yesterday. there was a local news story on it and everything. at one
point in the video, he threw a football with that classic side arm. i can’t
lie, it made me tear up. he’s been retired from the league for 4 months now,
but i’m still hurt. my favorite player of all time, what an honor it was to
watch all these years. though it’s sad he’s not going to play anymore, i’m
blessed to have seen his career from start to finish, and i’m even more
thankful that he is living out his second childhood dream.
