not so bad after all, 3.26.24

my dad and i haven’t had time to catch up. either he’s out of town or i’m busy or vis versa. for whatever reason, we haven’t been in the same place at the same time for a while, though we live together. tonight, he asked me how life has been as i’m doing a load of laundry. i sat down with him and showed him some photos and videos from life lately. as we’re going through my camera roll, it occurred to me that i’ve been living a pretty good life as of recent, despite what my emotions may tell me some days. from the food i’ve eaten to the places i’ve traveled to the things i’ve done. i felt grateful because not everybody gets to experience some of the things i’ve experienced with the people i’ve experienced them with.

i’m truly one of the luckiest people on earth.
