when you keep working, you eventually hit a break through. last night, i went in the studio to record a new song, real one, and when i began recording, there was no latency. latency is the playback of your voice as you record into the mic in real-time. if it’s off, it makes everything extremely difficult as music is rhythm and rhythm is 100% timing. i’ve been battling latency issues for the past month or so, ever since i began recording. it felt good to actually have both sides of the headphones on and hear myself. the first session for real one sounded good, and i hope it’ll continue to sound better with every recording.
though the journey is filled with many ups, downs, and roadblocks, i’ve got a feeling i’m turning the corner with this music thing.
got a long way to go, but this feels good.
