alexis texted me that there was a long live moses sign on a cart with flowers in it. i never knew his name or what he went by, but she was referring to this man with dreads who preaches on the corner of sharon amity by wt harris, right by panda den. i couldn’t believe the news. i was actually in the area at the post office less than a mile away so i drove past his cart where he normally stands and preaches. seeing the flowers and the sign made me feel sad. when i got home, i searched for any news article on him and came upon one from wcnc. a few weeks ago moses was stabbed in his home multiple times, and is now recovering in icu. who in the world would attack him?? although i’ve never met him, he gives off a peaceful aura, a comforting energy. the dynamic of good vs evil in terms of good things happening to bad people and bad things happening to good people make me question the design of this life we are living. what is the reason for these things? if there is no reason, then there is no purpose, but a life without purpose is hopeless, which is something i’m subconsciously afraid of.
fears aside, i hope and pray justice is served and that moses will be back preaching on sharon amity soon, proving that no matter what evil may exist, god will always prevail.
