we had 30-40 people over today for mom and ta’s birthday. it was a lot of familiar faces, and some not so familiar faces. whether i recognized them or not, the whole thing was a family affair. one thing i never knew i missed growing up was having family in close proximity. now that i have it, i’m more appreciative than ever. i spent the time saying hi to all the og’s, then i spent some time with my cousins. i ended the night showing my nephews things i had on display. they wanted to see my room and once we got up there, we just hung out there. i felt bad because one of my nephews asked if i had a double of a pokemon card, but i didn’t think i did so i told him no. another nephew ended up finding a double and asked me for it. i should’ve just given lil homie my card, because it definitley means more to him than to me now that i think about it. i think next time i see him, i’ll just bring the card with me.
hopefully it won’t be another year before we all get together again, because i think i definitely needed this.
