david was at the shop today as soon as i pulled up. when i stepped out the car, he noticed my shoes. i was in a rush so i threw on the bred 1’s my mom got me junior year of high school. david said he just got back from barcelona, and how over there, their view on materials are much different than ours here in america. they use shoes until they can’t any more, they value their cars solely for their ability to get them from point a to point b safely. of course there are outliers, but that’s the general consensus. it made me think of how spoiled i am over here. do i need more than 1 pair of shoes? or more than 1 car?? i don’t, but these things are additives to the flavor of our lives. too much of anything is bad and too little of everything isn’t adequate.
there’s a balance in this recipe of life, thus we must remain vigilant of the things we decide to feed ourselves.
