in my parasitology class, we are learning about parasites of arachnids. arachnids are arthropods that have 8 legs. this includes spiders, scorpions, and ticks among many others. an interesting theory, myth, fact maybe fiction statement, whatever you want to call it that dr. schneider told the class today was, we are never more than 3 feet away from a spider. say what fool?? dr. scheider went on to mention that there was a study in the raleigh-durham area concluding there were an average of 40 different species of insects living in the average single-family home, with houses located in more affluent neighborhoods having up to 160 different species of insects in them! i don’t know why i’m so fearful of bugs, but that creeped me out.
i can feel the spiders crawling on me as i lay in bed typing this smh.
